Luke Rockhold vs. Vitor Belfort
This fight may is not a title match, but why is it earning so much hype? Not many people know of Luke, but there isn’t a reason why he should be underestimated. Luke is a Strikeforce champion whose skill on the ground perfectly matches his stand-up game. Ruthless. However, his opponent is just as good excelling in different forms of mixed martial arts. Belfort is a top notch fighter who apparently can only be beaten by the UFC’s best, Jones and Silva.
This fight his been in the making for over 6 weeks now and Rockhold’s opinion of Belfort has not changed. He believes that Belfort is in fact using performance enhancing drugs such as TRT. Even so, Rockhold is determined to win this fight. He said that there was nothing he could do besides win this fight. He plans to cut out all distractions and out his focus on getting a potential title fight.
Of course Belfort’s ideals are not the same. Belfort denies using any enhancements and says his strength comes from within. During a press conference he stated, “I have crushed all the grapes, now it is time for me to drink that wine.” He wants to show the world that he deserves another title shot with either Jones or Silva and that this match is a stepping stone. “Once I step into the octagon, Rockhold will witness a silent storm.”

Can He Play?
Lawrence Okoye is an Olympian discus thrower. Even though he finished in last place for the finals in the 2012 London Olympics, Okoye still holds the British record (68.24 meters). At only 21 years of age, standing 6 feet 6 inches tall, weighing over 300lbs, many look at Okoye and believe he is already a professional American Football player. So why not try it?
Okoye has never played a down of American Football before even though his father played for Nebraska. He never really considered it. That was until he received a call from multiple NFL teams that wanted him to showcase his athletic abilities at a combine held at the Dallas Cowboy’s stadium. He didn’t disappoint at all. Running under a 4.8 in the 40 yard dash, jumping a 10’5” in the broad jump, powering over 30 reps in the 225 bench press, Okoye made sure his presence was felt.
After his display of talents, he made visits to the Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints and 49ers. Coach of the San Francisco 49ers Jim Harbaugh praised the physical appearance of Okoye and said God made a beautiful man. Okoye has his eyes set on becoming great and believes through hard work he can accomplish it. He might not be good now, but every day he spends with his newly signed team, the 49ers, he plans to improve. His first goal is to make the 53 man cut.
